  6. To loose is to let go, cut out, remove, untie, or otherwise get rid of or allow to leave by one's own choice. If the OP were to allow the dingleberry to continue returning, s/he would be allowing the other business to leave by a choice they made, knowing full well that the choice would have that effect (because they were banned for a reason).

  7. Whenever I see a bartender open a beer can for a customer, they always leave the tab standing vertically. I've always wondered why that is. Is it a lingering aspect of an old tradition? Or some kind of sanitary practice? Or something else entirely?
