  7. I just watched Design for Living (1933) for the first time last night and was absolutely blown away by its frank depiction of sex and freedom given to the female lead, played by Miriam Hopkins. I have not seen many other Pre-Code films from Hollywood, but seeing this one definitely makes me want to dive deeper into that era.
