Winchester is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, located 8.2 miles (13.2 km) north of downtown Boston as part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area. It is also one of the wealthiest municipalities in Massachusetts. The population was 22,970 at the 2020 United States Census.
- Winchester Center. Woven with a series of ponds, Winchester has an exquisite downtown area, where several major arteries meet at a roundabout. This district was developed in two flurries of construction following the arrival of the Boston and Lowell Railroad in 1835 and then after the end of the Civil War, creating a showcase of Victorian architecture.
- Middlesex Fells Reservation. Heading up the slope to the east, you can set off on foot from Winchester Center and soon find yourself in this 2,200 acre tract of rugged wooded hills and lakes, crisscrossed by more than 100 miles of trails.
- Griffin Museum of Photography. In a cute Colonial-style complex next to Judkins Pond, the Griffin Museum of Photography was founded in 1992 by noted photographer Arthur Griffin (1903-2001).
- Wright-Locke Farm. In 2007, to stop a large-scale housing development, the Town of Winchester purchased this historic farm, which was then sold to the Wright-Locke Land Trust in 2015.

- MHM02111. Boston, MA29 contributions. Great when filled with water. It has been a tough few seasons for Winter Pond. Not too long ago the water level was so low the shorelines were all dry and the ducks had moved away.
