Zoo lake is close to Joburg Zoo, it has a big open grass park with a dam with some ducks, generally homeless people are sleeping on the grass, many times it is very dirty filled with rubble, and not very safe. It is not a place to specifically go to and see for foreign visitors.

Nov 2015 • Family. Zoo Lake is a lake and park located across the street from the Johannesburg Zoo (hence the name). It is nice park with lots of stuff for the kids to do, including great playground equipment, and an African themed restaurant (Moyo's) which is overpriced but can feed you if you are hungry.
