"Troop Beverly Hills" is a comedy about the world's richest scouting troop, eight little girls led by den mother Shelley Long, who dresses in a designer uniform and helps the girls roast marshmallows in front of a fireplace in a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Synopsis. At a Southern California Wilderness Girls of America board meeting, the militaristic Velda Plendor (Betty Thomas) votes to disband the Beverly Hills chapter, Troop 332, since the scouts consistently under-perform.
A spoiled, wealthy housewife leads her daughter's Wilderness Girls' troop with an unorthodox twist. Rather than learning the ways of the forest, the girls take dance classes and learn to shop in Beverly Hills. Stereotypes, silliness reign in uneven parody of rich girls.
