This twenty-year-old Mirror Universe saga stands up impressively well. Before the elaborations and developments during DS9, the Mirror Universe was a mysteriously empty place, ripe for revisiting. Barr and Co. do a pretty good job paying homage to the TOS episode without going too overboard on the details and "insider" tidbits.
