Clarence Linden "Buster" Crabbe II ( / ˈkræb /; February 7, 1908 – April 23, 1983) was an American two-time Olympic swimmer and film and television actor. He won the 1932 Olympic gold medal for 400-meter freestyle swimming event, which launched his career on the silver screen and later television.
Crabbe was a life-long advocate of physical fitness, conducted televised physical fitness programs and in 1971, aged 63, he set a world age group record for the 400m freestyle. He had extensive business interests, including Buster Crabbe Swim Pools.
