A film ahead of its time, “It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” is peak blockbuster bloat — a full generation before movie theatres would become stuffed with endless CGI slugfests. Director Stanley Kramer’s three and a half hour-long odyssey of moronisms was billed as the ultimate cinematic comedy.
