With a nod to the past and a vision for the future, Minot State University empowers generations for today’s world. Founded in 1913 as Minot Normal School, our history began in Model Hall, where future teachers prepared for service in Northwestern North Dakota.

Minot State offers an automatic $1000 scholarship for K-12 employees who enroll in a graduate program full-time (9 or more credits) or a $500 scholarship for part-time (fewer than 9 credits).
Transfer to Minot State with a GPA between 3.5-4.0 and you’ll receive $1,500. Students with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 will be awarded $1,000. U.S. and Canadian students with a minimum of 24, and no more than 70, transferable semester hours earned are eligible.
