Spencer Gray Dinwiddie was born in 1993 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of Malcolm and Stephanie Dinwiddie and has one younger brother, Taylor. Dinwiddie attended Los Angeles's Taft High School and graduated with honors. For college, he selected the University of Colorado over Harvard so that he could compete in the Pac-12.
