Dec 15, 2006 · 'Past Masters, Vol. 2', one must concede is a slightly repackaged 'Hey Jude,' an Alan Kline conceived compilation of mainly late Beatles' singles. That said, the collection really comes together. While there is a danger of repeats, together with '1' or the 'Red' or 'Blue' albums, 'Past Masters' mixes gems beautifully.

Past Masters was originally released in 1988 as a double-album on LP and cassette, but as two separate CDs (as Volume One and Volume Two). Since 2009, the two-CD set (reviewed here) has been the standard.
