Nov 30, 2010 · Fantasia 2000 tried to fulfill Walt's dream to keep Fantasia an ongoing proyect through the years. Due to financial failure of the first film (unfortunate), this was never possible. 60 years after the premiere of the first film, Walt's nephew Roy Disney and Disney animators created a similar project entitled Fantasia 2000.
Nov 14, 2000 · Fantasia 2000 premiered on December 17, 1999, at Carnegie Hall in New York City as part of a concert tour that also visited London, Paris, Tokyo, and Pasadena, California. The film was then released in 75 IMAX theaters worldwide from January 1 to April 30, 2000, marking the first animated feature-length film to be released in the format.

Fantasia 2000 is a 2000 American animated movie. It was produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is a sequel to Fantasia (1940). Like the original movie, it has animated segments set to pieces of classical music. The Sorcerer's Apprentice is the only segment that is in both movies.
