Dec 27, 2016 · In a Valley of Violence was a steaming pile of excrement. The dog was the only good part of the movie. Hawke was OK; but Travolta's southern accent was weak and he somehow decided to overact in every scene. The guy who played "the bad guy" was horribly miscast. He had the vibe of a sleazy car salesman, not a gun-crazed psycho.
