A South African composer whose television work began shortly after coming to Britain in 1946, Rabinowitz worked for the BBC and then London Weekend Television before going freelance. He received a BAFTA nomination for Reilly: Ace of Spies (1983) and later worked mostly on films including The English Patient (1996) and Cold Mountain (2003).
About Harry Rabinowitz b. 26 March 1916, Johannesburg, South Africa. Trained as a classical pianist, Rabinowitz was educated at Athlone High School and Witwatersrand University and made his first radio broadcast in 1933.
