"The Man Who Finally Died" is another typical British B-movie: nothing more, nothing less. It's competently made, establishes a believable atmosphere of isolation and paranoia for the protagonist, and has a fairly surprising third act twist which distinguishes it from other features of the same kind. The only major misstep is the harpsichord score.
The Man Who Finally Died started out as a television serial in 1959, and indeed such spy and suspense serials were still being made into the nineteen-eighties, watch this and you may be reminded of sitting in front of Barriers or Maelstrom and not having the faintest notion of what was going on.
