This show basically turns her into a psychopath. Either the showrunners didn't understand the original material or they just didn't care. So sad.

Fuck this SO MUCH. Ratched wasn't supposed to be some evil super villain in that movie. She's just part of a terrible, uncaring system. By the time she's weaseled her way into the hospital within the first few episodes, Ratched has already been involved in a murder cover-up, bounty hunting, and a sexually awkward encounter.
