The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute represents the culmination of Lee’s development as a director, teacher, and pioneer in actor training. As a result, The Institute teaches what Lee Strasberg considered to be a comprehensive approach to solving the actor’s fundamental problems.

The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute does not offer housing; however, there is a private Discord group for accepted students to post and search for roommates. We highly recommend sharing an apartment with another student(s) to help reduce costs. Rent can range from $1,800-$5,500 for Studio-3 Bedroom apartments.

Our beautiful Marilyn Monroe Theatre is a red brick New York style 99 Seat Theatre. This equity stage is equipped with modern lighting and sound equipment, 5 dressing rooms, and a newly remodeled Theatre Lounge.
Through actor training, outreach, and the preservation of archival materials, The Institute works to further the legacy of Lee Strasberg®, train the world’s greatest actors, and maintain Lee’s place as a seminal figure in the great American theatre and film tradition.
