The space ship Covenant from Earth, full of sleeping colonists and embryos, is driving towards a newly discovered planet. Only Walter, a synthetic, is awake.

Alien 3 is by no means on the same level as Alien and Aliens, but it is at least a watchable movie, with the Assembly Cut being arguably a "good" movie. The fact that the theatrical cut is at least a watchable movie is a testament to David Fincher's talent as a director given the nightmare production Alien 3 went through.
