Jul 28, 2014 · Here is my latest custom/kitbash, yet another Horror movie character: Rusty Nail (Ken Kirzinger) I had previously made this character a few months back, based off the 2008 "Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead" Rusty Nail:
The film stars Ken Kirzinger as the antagonist Rusty Nail, with a hodgepodge of youths as his potential victims including Jesse Hutch as Jordan Wells, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Mickey Cole, Gianpaolo Venuta as Austin Moore, Jake Manley as Bobby Crow, and Kirsten Prout as Jewel McCaul.
Ken Kirzinger doesn't have the physicality or the voice to pull off Rusty Nail the way Mark Gibbon could, so replicating Joy Ride 2's success on that front was doomed from the start. The cinematography screws him over as well; the first film kept Rusty off-screen and the second film was dark and determined to not let you see Rusty clearly.
Feb 13, 2020 · Things were even worse in Joy Ride 3: Road Kill, where Rusty is played by Freddy Vs Jason's Ken Kirzinger. This entry was directed by Declan O'Brien (Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines) and makes the mistake of revealing much of Rusty Nail's face. It doesn't help that none of the characters are likable and are only there to die in a variety of sadistic ways.
