The majority of the film follows her in the hospital as she falls into CGI-laced flights of fancy--ala Scott Pilgrim VS The World--mingles with her friends, and bats eyelashes at her handsome doctor. Somehow, this is not a complete bore. The pace of the film switches gears often enough to keep things from getting stale.
Go Away Mr. Tumor is a bit like life, as it's hilarious and heart-warming and dorky and soul-crushing too. Maybe the greatest trick is how it's goofy, still doesn't let that hinder its emotional heft, but is also a very positive, life-affirming film.
