Nov 29, 2018 · In a nutshell, 2.0 is an enjoyable outing with several mass moments. However, it falls short of being a sci-fi film that has a strong story. Shankar-directed 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar is a fun entertainer with brilliant visual effects. But the story turns predictable post intermission, says our review. 3 out of 5 stars for 2.0.
2.0 essentially boasts a screenplay that Shankar carefully penned to inculcate one VFX-based set-piece after another, each getting grander in terms of scale. Rajini is restrained and quite boring as both Dr. Vaseegaran and the original Chitti, and he goes into full-Rajini mode only during towards the end.
