Gertrude Anne of Hohenberg ( c. 1225 – 16 February 1281) was German queen from 1273 until her death, by her marriage with King Rudolf I of Germany. [1] As queen consort, she became progenitor of the Austrian House of Habsburg .
Gertrude of Sulzbach (German: Gertrud von Sulzbach; c. 1110 – 14 April 1146) was Queen consort of Germany from 1138 until her death, as second wife of the Hohenstaufen king Conrad III. Family. She was a daughter of the Bavarian count Berengar II of Sulzbach (c.1080–1125) and his second wife Adelheid of Wolfratshausen (d. 1126).
When Berengar II. von Sulzbach was born about 1080, in Sulzbach (Taunus), Erzbistum Mainz, Holy Roman Empire, his father, Gebhard II. von Sulzbach, was 27 and his mother, Irmgard von Rott, was 18. He married Adelheid von Wolfratshausen-Dießen. They were the parents of at least 1 son and 6 daughters.
