And if he hadn't felt so bad about himself, he might never have spent his life making the rest of us feel so good.
Peter Edward Cook (17 November 1937 – 9 January 1995) [2] was an English comedian, actor, satirist, playwright and screenwriter. He was the leading figure of the British satire boom of the 1960s, and he was associated with the anti-establishment comedic movement that emerged in the United Kingdom in the late 1950s.
In 1970 he directed "The Bed-Sitting Room," a film which so uncannily predicts the style and manner of Python that we think for a moment we're watching television. The movie's dotty and savage; acerbic and slapstick and quintessentially British. It was also a total disaster at the box office.
