Ricketts is one of four children. His brother Pete Ricketts, who lives in Omaha, was the Governor of Nebraska from 2015 to 2023 and is currently the junior U.S. Senator for Nebraska. His younger sister, Laura Ricketts, is a former corporate lawyer.
