In the summer, there was the drama Blue Denim, and in the same season came the next Hitchcock project, North by Northwest. (In 1980, the London Studio Orchestra, conducted by Laurie Johnson, issued a recording of the score of North by Northwest on Starlog Records; Rhino Records finally put out a soundtrack album conducted by the composer in 1996.)

Dec 22, 2007 · Due to the editing of "North by Northwest", full versions of the cues were never recorded until now. Listening to the fully restored soundtrack allows us to more fully appreciate the genious of Bernard Herrmann. It is wonderfully performed by the Slovak National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Joel McNeely. I think Mr. Herrmann would approve!
