  4. It's too bad that Ralph Bakshi didn't get to do the sequel to finish the whole story; that "honor" went to a Japanese studio that made the TV movie adapation of The Hobbit. This is a really great effort to put Tolkien's magnum opus on the big screen in animated form, even with the surreal feel of the animation styles switching even between shots.
