Enemies of the opposite faction in Zandalar and Kul Tiras now drop invitations, and a new vendor–A. Shady— occasionally has them for sale in Orgrimmar and Stormwind.

Last thing Blizzard said about it, from what I have seen, is: For Battle for Azeroth, the Brawler’s guild started with patch 8.1.5 and ended with patch 9.0.1. The new season for Shadowlands has not yet been announced.
This and other Brawler's Guild achievements (and the guild itself) are all references to the film Fight Club. (I would classify it as one of those films everyone should see at least once, so if you only know it from cultural osmosis, go check it out.)

May 25, 2013 · Twenty new bosses have been added to the Brawler's Guild in Patch 5.3--eight tied to new ranks, and twelve optional ones. Each optional boss requires you to return a special item to the Brawler's Guild. These items are found through a variety of creative ways. Killing these optional bosses for the first time rewards a unique vanity shirt.
