It might be cliche-ridden and convoluted, but "The Quiet Ones" is a perfectly serviceable horror film. Blending documentary-style footage with good old standard cinematic stuff, the film is a narrative cocktail that combines ghost story, possession tale, and mad scientist riff with themes of science versus the unexplained.
