  6. 1. Award. triceracocks. • 13 yr. ago. Derleth is good because he kept Lovecraft's work in print. Derleth is bad because he was an awful writer, shit all over Lovecraft's oeuvre, pulled a Brian Herbert/KJA with posthumous collaborations. All of this is minor and easily overlooked.
