To prepare for welcoming as many visitors and members of the Trojan family as possible, construction is underway on new stadium seats on each side of Spero Financial Field at Melvin and Dollie Younts Stadium. They are expected to be completed by the end of October.
Macholtz Stadium was built in 1977 and serves as the home facility for AU’s football, lacrosse and track and field teams. As Macholtz Stadium prepares for its 50th year in 2027, the home and visitor bleachers are outdated and in need of replacement.

Dr. Melvin and Dollie Younts provided a $3 challenge gift to help support the launch of Anderson University football and the development of other programs at the school. Spero Financial added to the fund when it agreed to a 25-year naming rights deal.

Construction of the 45,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to conclude ahead of the 2023-2024 academic year.
