Movie Review. A century ago in London, stage magicians are afforded celebrity status. Good ones can reach the heights of modern-day pop stars. Robert Angier and Alfred Borden are just getting their start in the business, working with a magic “engineer” named Cutter in the service of a mediocre older magician.
Scene-scene dalam film ini seperti punya daya magis, apalagi pada bagian ketika dua karakter utama, Angier dan Borden sedang mengadakan pertunjukan sulapnya. Selain itu setting The Prestige (2006) juga terlihat sekali dibuat dengan detail. Diceritakan terjadi pada 1890-an, kostum, peralatan sulap, tata rambut dalam film ini tampil meyakinkan.
