    • Godzilla. Godzilla became the King of the Monsters when he killed Ghidorah, but he wasn’t the undisputed alpha. At least one, Kong, didn’t regard him as the superior MonsterVerse Titan.
    • Kong. The debate over who would be the alpha has ended, but that doesn’t mean Kong is about to become another one of Godzilla’s minions either. Rebecca Hall’s Dr. Andrews said there couldn’t be two alphas, but the MonsterVerse solved this problem by making the land of his ancestors his new home.
    • Rodan. Rodan and Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ original Titans were labeled as “defeated” in Godzilla vs. Kong’s intro, but they’re still very much alive in the MonsterVerse.
    • The Third MUTO. The repercussions of Ghidorah’s call revealed that the two MUTOs slain by Godzilla in the 2014 film weren’t the last of their kind. Apparently, there’s at least one more that’s still out there.
  2. Titans are ancient gigantic creatures that coexisted with humans in prehistory and were studied by Monarch. Learn about their origins, abilities, classifications and roles in the MonsterVerse films.

    • Ghidorah. Though not native to Earth or even the strongest creature on the planet, Ghidorah is indeed an alpha Titan in the cinematic world of Godzilla and Kong.
    • Godzilla. It’s a no-brainer that a monster known as the King of the Monsters is an alpha Titan. After all, it makes sense that it would take one to beat the acting alpha – and that’s exactly what happened in Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ ending.
    • Kong. Interestingly, at least one Titan heard Ghidorah’s call in King of the Monsters but chose not to answer it. In the movie’s novelization, it was stated that Kong was aware of Ghidorah, but the King of Skull Island simply had no interest in heeding the Titan’s call.
    • MUTO Prime. There are more than three MUTOs in MonsterVerse canon. Introduced in King of the Monsters prequel graphic novel Godzilla: Aftershock, MUTO Prime is the most powerful member of her species.
  3. The Titans, formerly known as M.U.T.O. (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms), are various different super-species that once dominated the Earth long before humanity. They are in charge of maintaining balance and healing Earth's environments and ecosystems.
