The 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: 24 Heures du Mans) is an endurance-focused sports car race held annually near the town of Le Mans, France.
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the 4th round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). As its name suggests, the race lasts 24 hours. The race starts on Saturday June 15 at 4pm and finishes the following day, Sunday June 16 at 4pm.
Traditionally the capital of the province of Maine, it is now the capital of the Sarthe department and the seat of the Roman Catholic diocese of Le Mans. Le Mans is a part of the Pays de la Loire region . Its inhabitants are called Manceaux (male) and Mancelles (female).
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the world's oldest endurance racing event. It is held annually since 1923 near the town of Le Mans, France.
