Jun 25, 1999 · "Big Daddy" is a film about a seriously disturbed slacker who adopts a 5-year-old and tutors him in cynicism, cruel practical jokes and antisocial behavior. It's not every film where an adult role model throws himself in front of a moving car just to cheer the kid up.
When his roommate, Kevin leaves, for China, a boy is dropped at their apartment and is told that he is Kevin's son, but Kevin doesn't know his mother. Sonny takes care of him, and after spending time with him he decides to adopt him hoping that his girlfriend will be impressed.
