Vivi Janiss (born Vivian Audrey Jamison; May 29, 1911 – September 7, 1988) was an American actress, known for such films as The Phantom from 10,000 Leagues (1955), Man on the Prowl (1957), and First, You Cry (1978).
Vivi Janiss played the part of Myrtle Davis in 11 sporadic episodes from 1954 to 1959. Father Knows Best had become so ingrained in American pop culture as an idyllic presentation of family life that in 1959, the U.S. Department of the Treasury commissioned a special 30-minute episode of the show titled "24 Hours in Tyrant Land". Her parents were traveling theatricals in the Midwest in the 1920s and 1930s, eventually settling in California. On Broadway, she introduced what became the Vernon Duke standard, “I Like the Likes of You” in the 1934 Ziegfeld Follies .
