Michael Blieden is a writer/director who serves as director and executive produced on the Comedy Central series South Side. His previous directing work has included episodes of Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll for FX, Brooklyn Nine-Nine for FOX, Sirens for USA, Broad City for Comedy Central, Up All Night for NBC, Awkward and The Inbetweeners for MTV, and Children’s Hospital for Adult Swim.
Melvin Goes to Dinner is a 2003 American film adaptation of Michael Blieden's stage play Phyro-Giants!, directed by Bob Odenkirk in his directorial debut. Blieden wrote the screenplay from his stage play, and he also stars in the film (as he did in the Los Angeles stage production), along with Stephanie Courtney, Matt Price and Annabelle Gurwitch.
