May 1, 2013 · Dr. Michael Henes received his DVM degree at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1968. After five years in clinical small animal practice, he conceived, built and opened the Croton Animal Hospital in June, 1973, where he has been a fixture ever since.

May 12, 2013 · 40 Years of Vet Care in Greater Westchester. This year marks forty years that Croton Animal Hospital has been providing veterinary care to the community. When Dr. Michael Henes opened the hospital on June 4, 1973, he saw a need for a small animal practice in Croton.
Nov 29, 2019 · Karen Ruth Shields Henes, passed away on November 29th, 2019 in her home from Alzheimer's Disease. Karen was the daughter of Elaine & Leonard Shields of Bridgeton, New Jersey, wife to Michael G Henes, DVM, mother to Rachel Henes and Jon Henes, grandmother to Sam, Ellie, Charlotte, Cece, Jake, Noah, and Nathaniel, friend and confidante to so many.
