Ciarán Murtagh (born 1992) is a Gaelic footballer who plays for St Faithleach's and the Roscommon county team. A son of Andy and Breda Murtagh, he completed a degree in corporate law at NUI Galway before returning to his studies at Marino Institute of Education to become a teacher. [1]

Ciaran Murtagh (born May 16, 1977) is an Irish writer and author who is known for his frequent collaborations with Andrew Jones. He worked as a writer on seasons 4, 5, and 6 of The Amazing World of Gumball.
In 2002, he and his writing partner Andrew Jones formed a comedy theatre company called The Black Sheep. He worked as a screenwriter on many TV shows including Mr. Bean: The Animated Series, and currently writes for Shaun the Sheep. He is also a multi-award winning author of over 45 books to date.
Ciaran Murtagh is a Bafta Award winning screenwriter and author. To date he was written over thirty books for children and is published in twelve languages. The first title in his latest series – The Fincredible Diary of Fin Spencer – won the Leicester Best Book Award, and prior to that he won a Riveting Reads Award for Genie in Training.
