In the early morning hours of May 19, 2001, McCorkle committed suicide by jumping from the window of her 16th story Manhattan apartment.
Jan 20, 2007 · I still miss Susannah McCorkle. She is definitely one of the best jazz vocalists to come along in decades. A terrific musical sensibility, wonderful shading in her singing, she sings foreign languages with an impeccable accent--what's not to like? This is a great CD that headlines Bossa and other Latin-derivated jazz songs.
