Rio is the second movie by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox to be turned into a franchise, after Ice Age, which currently has five movies and nine short films. Lead actor and actress, Jesse Eisenberg and Anne Hathaway both appeared in the short-lived series, Get Real, as brother and sister.
