The version on "Halcyon Days" is a pretty complete studio version recorded with Tony Hooper on lead vocals as before, but with fairly heavy electric guitar, organ and cello backing. It follows the tempo of the old late 60s early 70s versions rather than the more relaxed approach on the solo.
