At the 2008 Trinumeral Festival near Ashville, North Carolina, Kang joined his SCI band mates Michael Travis and Jason Hann in their jamtronica project EOTO. A few years later, Kang teamed up with Kyle Hollingsworth Band during their show at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver. The sit-in saw Kang and Kyle performing Led Zeppelin’s “Ramble On,” a cover that has been in the Cheese repertoire since 2000 as per Friends Of Cheese.
In 2015 Kang joined Bassnectarduring the latter’s set at Electric Forest. The performance saw the meeting of the mind’s of two of the festival’s marquee acts. For the 2015 EF performance, Kang provided fiddle on Bassnectar’s “Dubuasca.”
