Melanie Jones OAM (born 11 August 1972, Barnstaple, Devon, England) is an English-born Australian cricket commentator and former cricketer who represented Australia women's national cricket team.
Mel Jones is a former Australian cricketer who played Tests and ODIs from 1997 to 2005. She scored a century on debut and captained Surrey in the English County Championship.

Jones, a veteran of five Tests and 61 ODIs and a two-time World Cup winner, said her future work commitments would not allow her to devote the time required to the board.
