William Gilbert Barron (September 12, 1894 – September 23, 1971), known professionally as Billy Gilbert, was an American actor and comedian. He was known for his comic sneeze routines. He appeared in over 200 feature films, short subjects and television shows beginning in 1929.

Sep 24, 1971 · HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 23 (UPI) —Billy Gilbert, the stage and screen comedian, died today in a convalescent home. His age was 77. He leaves his wife, the former Lolly McKenzie, a for mer film actress.
Billy Gilbert was an American radio comedian, famous for his comical sneezing gags, who, for Disney, provided the voice of Sneezy the dwarf in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, as well as Willie the Giant in the Fun and Fancy Free segment Mickey and the Beanstalk.

He played lots of comic villains and was most famously a fabulous foil for Laurel & Hardy. He was particularly well-known for his comic sneeze routine — and was the voice of Sneezy in Disney’s Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs!
Apr 16, 2020 · Gilbert was married twice and and had an adopted son who tragically committed suicide at age 13. Gilbert passed away from a stroke on September 23, 1971. He was cremated and his ashes scattered in the rose garden of the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
