Artur "Atze" Brauner (born Abraham Brauner; 1 August 1918 – 7 July 2019) was a German film producer and entrepreneur of Polish origin. He produced more than 300 films from 1946. Life and career. He was born the oldest son of a Jewish family in Łódź, Poland. His father was a timber wholesaler.

Jul 7, 2019 · BERLIN (AP) — Artur Brauner, a Polish-born Holocaust survivor who became one of post-World War II Germany’s most prominent film producers, died Sunday at age 100. Brauner’s family said he died in Berlin, the German news agency dpa reported.
Artur Brauner was born on 1 August 1918 in Lódz, Lódzkie, Poland. He was a producer and writer, known for Babij Jar (2003), Europa Europa (1990) and The Vengeance of Doctor Mabuse (1972). He was married to Maria Brauner. He died on 7 July 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
