Brian Evan Anthony Davies OP (born 7 July 1951) is a British philosopher, Roman Catholic priest, and friar. He is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Fordham University (since 1995), and author of An Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion, now in its fourth English edition, which has been translated into five languages.
Brian Davies was born on 15 November 1938 in Rhondda Valley, Wales, UK. He is an actor, known for American Gigolo (1980), Convoy (1978) and The Age of Innocence (1993). He has been married to Erika Slezak since 4 August 1978.

Brian Davies (4 February 1935 – 27 December 2022) was a Welsh animal welfare activist who founded three major international animal welfare organizations, Network for Animals (NFA), Animal Survival International (ASI) and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). Davies retired from the IFAW in 2003, but remained active at the NFA and ASI.
