Third Eye Open is a 1992 album by American funk/rock supergroup Hardware. Hardware consists of lead guitarist Stevie Salas, P-Funk bassist Bootsy Collins, and drummer Buddy Miles, formerly of the Band of Gypsys.
It featured Mudbone Cooper, Bernard Fowler and George Clinton on backing vocals, [1] and was produced by Bill Laswell. The group was originally called The Third Eye, but changed their name due to conflicts with another group. [2] They released one album, entitled Third Eye Open in 1992. [1]
