Sally Marr (December 30, 1906 – December 14, 1997) was an American stand-up comic, dancer and actress who is best known as being the mother of legendary comic Lenny Bruce, whose act she influenced. [1]
Sally Marr was a New York-born actress who appeared in films and TV shows such as Dance Hall Racket, Harry and Tonto and House Calls. She was also a comic and talent spotter who helped launch the careers of Pat Morita, Cheech Marin, Tommy Chong and Sam Kinison.

Sally K. Marr, a former vaudeville and burlesque comedian and the mother of Lenny Bruce, died of heart failure on Dec. 14 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She was 90.
