Louis Antoine Smith MBE (born 22 April 1989) is a retired British artistic gymnast. He received a bronze medal and two silver medals on the pommel horse at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics respectively, with the former marking the first time a British gymnast had placed in an Olympic event since 1928.

Biography. A specialist at the pommel horse, Louis Smith’s bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games was the first individual medal won at the Olympic Games by a British Gymnast since Walter Tysall at the London Games of 1908 and only the second won by a black male gymnast in the entire history of the Games.

The 29-year-old Smith won bronze on the pommel horse at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and silver in the same event at both the 2012 London Games and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
