Jeffery Lynn Millar (July 10, 1942 – November 30, 2012) was an American comic strip writer and film critic best known for creating the Tank McNamara comic strip with illustrator Bill Hinds.

Jeffrey Lynn Millar was born July 10, 1942 in Pasadena TX, growing up in League City and graduating from the University of Texas. He began writing for the Houston Chronicle in 1964, as a film and music critic, and began writing his own humor column in 1972.
